2024 Wiring light bar into high beams

On my 2020 it was easy, install the bar, hook up power and tap the high beam fuse in the fuse box, no splicing. I went to install a new bar on my 2024 High Country and all was going as planned until I got to the high beam fuse…there isn’t one. Just two fuses for the right and left headlamps. Any thoughts? Or just install a separate switch which I really don’t want to do. It was super nice having it come on with the high beams.

also the 12v lighter output only works when the truck is on?

anyone have any suggestion?

I ran the power from the battery but on the previous gen (2023 and older) you could tap the high beam fuse to activate the relay. The 2024 doesn't have a high beam fuse that I could find.

I ended up installing a wireless remote that clips to my visor, I didn't want to do any drilling or fishing of wires into the cab. I would still prefer them to be on the high beam circuit but after extensive searching couldn't find any solutions on the web.

Did you ever find a spot or a fuse that would work? Iam having the same problem with led strip light for under the hood.

Unfortunately no. I have a wireless remote setup that works but still not as convenient as tapping the high beam circuit. Do you need a switch in the cab if you're only adding an under hood light?

I think I have found a spot to use as a trigger for the high beams (K9 BCM X2 pin 32 <wh>). Just finished putting a light bar on my 24 Ulti-D. I installed the upfitter switches and am happy with the way it turned out. I ordered some tap-splices. I'll let you know how it works out.

This was the only place to put them without disassembling the entire dash

Look's good. is it on top of bumper, or is there a space between bumper an grill ??

Nice place for the upfitter switches. I put a 12v socket in that location and brought the wires through the dash at the harness near the steering wheel.

Was the rest of the upfitter install the same as the other model trucks for the dash mounted fuse block?

Fuse F3 (left lamp, the wire is red/white stripe) and Fuse F4 (right lamp, the wire is red/yellow stripe) are the 20 amp fuses to the headlights, and the batt + wire circuits.

What gets complicated is these use a lighting control module now with the LED lamps. Fuse F7 (right) and fuse F31 (left) in the underhood block are the high beam control signals for the high beams.

So its a bit of being cautious to try and wire up a bar to these somehow. You'd have to see if you can have the signal wire there to actuate with the high beams. Problem is to try and not overload the lighting control module.

IMO, the upfitters and switched or an aftermarket switch setup might be the safest route.

My current setup is safe and works but...I'm going to have to test this. I just need it to trigger the relay, I wonder how they do it with a plow setup?
