New Truck Question-2024 Silverado HD

2024 2500HD Duramax LTZ

 

After getting the truck home and sorting through it, I found this bolt laying as shown in the picture under the back seat near the jack handle.

 

I don’t know what it is for, and neither does the dealership.

 

Any ideas?  Seems that it is there for something, hopefully not a “whoops” from the Flint assembly plant.

You know how when you finish a big automotive repair there always seems to be an extra part or 2 ? 

My guess is thats yours. I would put it in the console and save it for the future. My WAG is that its part of the seating framework, a quick visual should show if theres anything missing. I am surprised someone didnt snag it before you took delivery.
