Hopefully someone can help.

I am in the process in doing my 2008 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 2500 HD over.  I was wanting to change the frame over and I found a frame from a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 HD.  I am curious if they will interchange.  I know the body panels look to be the same, but I was told the rad support is different between 2008-2011.  I know the front bumper is different too but I wonder if they still mount the same.  I am assuming my LMM motor and transmission will just bolt in will it not?  I would like to have the 2011 front bumper and the hood but still on the look for it but if I need to, will my 2008 Rad Support bolt to the 2011 Frame?  I did do research and it looks like if I was to use the 2011 Rad Support the 2008 rad, Intercooler, Condenser are different.

I do know there is a difference in the frames between 2008 and 2011. The 2011 frame is a boxed frame and the 2008 frame is C- Channel.  I am told the 2011 frame is a better frame thou.

Thank you ahead of time for the help

Chris

Frame is entirely different.

2008 frame was GMT-800 with GMT-900 body.  From 1999-2010.

2011 frame is GMT-900 frame which had the GMT-900 body 2011-2014, but the frame technically goes to 2019.

I don't think swapping to it would be as easy as you are describing.  You'd be better off with an entire 2011-2014 truck.

Actually figured out the difference between GMT -800 &-900

I am wondering if I can take everything from my 08 and bolt it to the 11 frame.  The rad support, bumper, cab and box
