Hello,

I've installed part# 85527846 into my truck door sills but without instructions, I'm not sure how to plug in the single grey wire.

I searched this forum before posting and I found an old post regarding 2022 1500 (see below).

Should I use these same instructions (pin#1 in black plug furthest from seat) for my 2024 3500?

The instructions linked there are correct for the kit you've bought, but they may have revised them.

If you want the latest version, stop by your dealer and have them pull up document ID # 5862954 in GM Service Information.

The 2024 HD is the same. Pay attention to which way the Molex connector is facing. It wont lock in properly if its 180 degrees off.

I was successful

on my 2024 GMC 3500, Pin#1 (was empty) of the X1 Connector is a black connector.  When seated in the drivers seat, it's the last connector on the left... closest to the firewall.  It's not easy to get out, or re-insert... but you only need do it once.  As soon as you put the wire into Pin#1 and push the connector back into the slot you'll see the door sill plate illuminate.
