Just purchased 02 rcsb step side 2wd.

My old Trailblazer was totaled on a slippery day a month or so ago. Lady slid through an intersection I was in. Wasn’t my fault.  Anyway, got a rcsb 02 Silverado step side.  2wd, 4.8, 3.42 gears, limited slip,218,000 miles.  Truck is great shape inside and out.  Has newer GMC wheels with too big of tires. I was looking for a kinda beater vehicle, but this is kinda too nice.  Already has an exhaust.  Will probably get or make an intake, electric fans…. Probably will remove the cap.

Some new headlight housings and it will look better too, plus they are super cheap online.

 

But man that would be the perfect turbo or supercharger truck build.

Agree about the headlights, and agree about the potential of a really fun truck, relatively easy.

Also truck has been lowered.  Pic was in old owners driveway.  Truck was full of salt after ride home, so I’ll get some better pics.  Was never a huge fan of stepsides, but after seeing sooo many rusted out std bed truck it was brought to my attention that stepside beds are fiberglass…no rust.  The lack of rust is what I first noticed about this old truck.

They do rust where the fiberglass attaches to the metal but it's not as obvious as fleetside rust

Thanks about the truck. As far as the garage goes, that’s the service where I work.  I wish I had a garage like that.
