Back Up Camera Solutions for a Truck Camper please

As a newbie, I am hauling a truck camper with the tailgate open to make way for the length of my truck camper which sits beyond my short bed.  Thank you Lord that I do not have to remove my tailgate...Even still, lost my back up camera function (points to the towing hitch) as well as my rearview mirror function which comes with the territory of a truck camper.  Any recommendations for a DIY camera install would help with my pocketbook and alleviate any stress of an expensive install by a professional.  A dash camera system that can record at the same time and alleviate my humongous blindspot while backing up and changing lanes would be tremendous.  I am hoping that experienced truck campers "who has been there done that" can emphasize with my frustration and offer invaluable feedback.

Not on a truck camper, but I love my Haloview system for my travel trailer.  No reason it wouldn't work on a truck camper also.

Take a look at my several posts on page 7 of the thread linked below. I gave detailed instructions for a DIY camera enclosure for the OEM camera part number. You would buy another camera rather than take the camera out of your tailgate, and then connect to the camera connector for the tailgate camera near the spare tire. Camera $100, cable $15, PVC parts $10.
