Is it possible to run the backup camera full time?

No. Not in a W/T. I believe you can in higher trim trucks with more options like LTZ, High Country etc.

Not in the higher trims either. It's set to be on for 7 seconds before turning off. It mentions it in the owner's manual.

That said, I'm going to install an aftermarket camera.  I need 12V but I don't want to ScotchLok a taillight line.  There is a 3-socket module attached to the truck rear frame and one of the sockets is capped with a dummy plug with no wires coming out of it. Is there a 12V line coming into it that is live during driving that I could use to power my camera? Would the computer allow me to use it?
