Going to the dealer @ 9:30am tomarrow morning to pick up wifes new Z-71 Tahoe. The whole process has been really smooth....so smooth that I am really skeptical that something will go wrong when we get there. The last two cars we bought was a big haggling hassle.....etc....

Is Car buying supossed to be this easy ?? - Or should I be prepared for the all kinds of hidden charges tomarrow ???

As a bonus....recieved a certicate from gmcard for 750 bonus points !!!

We shall see !!??!?!?

Congrats….Your wife will love it. We just traded in our 2002 Pewter Tahoe Z-71 for a 2004 Silver Birch Tahoe Z-71 two weeks ago. The interiors are unbelievably better in the 2003 and 2004’s over our 02’. The third row seating and center bucket seats really make the interior feel much bigger. Power adjustable pedals and XM are sweet too!

Unfortunatley, our 2002 hoe with only 36300 miles was a basket case from 2900 miles on up. Multiple Service transfercase issues, power mirrors not working, a 1-2 transmission shift shutter that the dealer took 3 stabs at fixing and never could and the last straw was a dead cylinder on #3. With all repeated attempts for the same concerns and business days out of service it could have qualified for Colorado lemon law but being an employee of the general….I didn’t want to go that route so we offed if for an 04’. It feels like the 04’ has more power too.

So far so good on the 04’. The wife has already racked up 1000 miles on it but we got a 100,000 GMPP just in case this one turns in to a pile also. You may want to consider a GMPP also…there is a lot of crap to go wrong on these things.

Now that is a gift!!!

The car buying experience can be fun if you go in with the "I don't care" atitude. The chances of being hassled are greater if they know you need to buy the vehicle so they can take advantage of that. If they know it doesn't matter if you leave with a new set of keys they might try to work in your benefit for the sale.

Yup, when we bought the 03 I knew we were getting a GREAT deal and we should not pass this up for the world. Well as soon as they started messing around my dad just said "Ok well why dont yall just go get the keys to my truck so I can go home." They hung on to the keys to that 01 Sierra and sold the 03 at our price.
