Adding Cameras

I have read through multiple threads here and other sites and most people say it isn't possible but I want to see if anyone has tried it. I have a 2020 Silverado Trail Boss LT. It is a amazing truck but lacks all of the luxury features found in higher trim models. I only have the single reverse camera and want to add the rest of the OEM cameras, bed view, top reverse view, both mirrors, front, and trailer provisions. Everything that is needed for the 360 View. I have the IOR radio. I know it will be expensive and probably not worth it but if it is possible I want to do it. I know I will need to upgrade my radio to IOU and get a VPM. Has anyone done this or know if I can and where to start. I'm not afraid to tear the truck apart to do the install but I don't want to spend thousands of dollars and lots of hours installing stuff just to find it doesn't work.

Well I do believe this guy @Rally6.2RST did something like this but it was with the now defunct AUTOSYNC.

I added this Silverado Cameras with creativity you could add up to 4 extra cameras.

Rally6.2RST had the camera in the 3rd brake light from the factory I do not. Most people say that is a requirement but I have also heard that if you don't you have to change out and program the BCM.

I successfully added two side cameras, front grille and a trailer camera.

 

I used the echomaster kit. Intellihaul 3.0

Gm pn#19433460

 

It was plug and play. You just have to call the dealership and confirm your truck has the factory connections. 

 

There is also gm pn#19433462 

 

The difference is the mirror cameras. If you have the larger tow mirrors, use the xxxx2

. If you have smaller mirrors use xxxx0.

 

You can shop gm parts acessories site or on your my chevrolet app for deals. Mine was 25% off.

I am not sure what radio, it is the one with the larger touch screen. Almost looks like a tablet.

Anyone know how to use the Sierra AT4 surround view cameras to record vs buying dash cams.  I have a friend with a Cadillac and there is a sd card slot in the trunk for this.  Why didn't GM add that feature to the Trucks

I don't think any additional cameras can be added to the IOR radio system, even Intellihaul.   My goal was to add the factory cameras but with so many different parts that need changed and new wiring I would need to run before I can see if it will even work makes me hesitant about trying the mods.

This kit claims it can add a front camera to the IOR.
