I'm doing some detective work, trying to figure out why my truck 2024 2500HD gasser w/ the True North Pkg was optioned with the 220A alternator & the aux' battery.

The truck has neither the Snow Plow Prep RPO VYU or 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Provisions.

I do see that the True North pkg includes the 120V outlets. I wonder if that is the reason for the extra options?

If you have an True North truck, could you see if the truck has the extra battery & HD alternator. Also note if the truck has the snow plow and/or trailer prep options.

TIA

I think it's just the way the dealer that ordered it decided to spec it out.

It's not part of PDU - True North Edition.

True North Edition only available on LT

1 - applies to LT

2 - applies to LTZ, (so doesn't apply to True North

The dealer that it came from is in Kirkland Lake (northern part of the province). Maybe there was some thought that dual batteries would assist in winter starting.

I recall from back in the day TP2 was the common RPO code for dual batteries on our broadcast sheets. Nothing like it on my truck or from this list:

Interesting that KW5 is listed, but no sign of K4Z.

Also my truck does have Intellibeam lights, but no mention of TQ5 on the RPO list. That being said, the window sticker lists Intellibeam as standard equipment.

I might be getting confused as to what we saw on the production side vs marketing. I know in the past (forgive me if I'm wrong) that you might see MX0 if you were ordering an automatic transmission, whereas in the plant it would be MD8 to specify which actual transmission was used in a particular model and/or behind a certain engine.

I find that the qr code on the door jamb only lists some of the rpo codes.

Best to ask your dealer to print out the rpo codes from YOUR vin.

My salesguy printed the order sheet the day I ordered my truck. We went through everything on the sheet to make sure it was what I wanted. TQ5 is on the sheet for Intellibeam.

Looking @ the contents of the pkg, some of the items are probably next to impossible to add later. I haven't really noticed it on 3/4 tons, just 1/2 tons. When I went to order the emblems from the dealer, the parts guy didn't charge me as they are supposed to be added by the dealer upon delivery.

On the bold, maybe the dealer up north knows something that I don't.

Ask you dealer for a copy of the build sheet.

As @gemarsh points out, the QR's seems to be a partial list.

Sorta like the SPID labels it replaces.

Perhaps because some RPO's imply certain others must also exist.

Next time I'm in, I'll ask. I'm wondering if anyone RPO is included in a trim package, it's not listed.

Maybe it's like this example from 'The Bible' back in the day:

A truck would show Z62 RPO code, but not the individual RPOs?

That could be possible. *Pacakge X contains RPOs ABC, DEF, GHI and so on...*
