This is anew thread even though the problem on my 2025 GMC Sierra Denali sounds like the same problem as certain Chevy and GMC models. The Bluetooth connection using Android Auto is unusable for a phone call.  It is appalling that I cannot make a call with this brand new vehicle. Further, when I try to switch the call to my phone or Bluetooth headset, the system tries to switch back to the GMC system. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, resetting the system by by disconnecting the negative terminal. GM has a problem here.

I've had 3 Samsung phones connected to my 2023 and none have had a phone call disconnect or have static. I don't use buds as the hands free system works perfectly. Right now I have S22 and S24 Ultras. I don't use AA in the truck. No reason to as I have Google maps already and I like listening to SiriusXM. Maybe that's why I have zero phone concerns.

I haven't had any disconnect issues,  but the crackling during calls happens and is annoying as hell....

Just picked up a 2025 Sierra 2500HD new less than 24 hours ago.  Phone calls play through the onstar speaker which makes it difficult to actually hear anyone and when I can, the speaker is constantly crackling. Truck has 11 miles on it

I am taking my 2025 GMC Sierra to the dealer on Tuesday to see if they have fix (software update?) that helps with this speaker cracking, Bluetooth phone disconnects, and no sound issues. We'll see.

I'm having the same issue on my 2025 Sierra.  I use Android Auto.  Sometimes phone audio is crackly but mostly every few minutes the Bluetooth disconnects so you can't hear anything, then reconnects in a few seconds.  Same behavior using the built in phone app.  Any luck at the dealer?

My 2025 2500hd has the same crackling noise on calls using my S22 Ultra and Android Auto app that is installed in the truck. I have not tried the GM phone app. Is there a fix for this issue?  If so can anyone that has the fix, please share with the rest of us.

Nice " caring " reply, ... Too bad you don't respond to the email and just leave us hanging for a solution ...

Yep, that GMC post is a joke. Dealers are helpless with complex issues like bluetooth connectivity.  All they can really do is update the software and then say "well, it works with the tech's phone".

Rebooting the phone seems to be a common solution in other threads

I don't run Android auto -- just use the bt connection -- and don't have issues on the '23 truck or '20 suv

My FIL has a 2024 Colorado and it does not experience the same Bluetooth random disconnect issues using my phone, so it makes me believe this is unique to the 2025 models.
