2023 Silverado 1500 Exhaust Smell in Cab and Dash Rattle

I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 with the 2.7L turbo engine.  I'm at about 15,000 miles.  When I remote start my vehicle and let it heat up I notice an exhaust smell when I get into the cab.  When I start driving the smell does seem to go away unless I sit a stop light when I can smell it faintly again (not all the time but most of the time).  I also smell the exhaust when I put the truck in reverse.  

 

I also have a dash rattle on the drivers side.  This happens when I'm driving a cruising speeds and try to speed up.  

 

I have had the truck to the dealer, and of course they found nothing wrong and can't replicate the smell in the cab (which is hard to believe because I smell it every time).  This is very frustrating because the truck is so new that I don't feel like I should smell exhaust in the cab and have to deal with rattles on the dash.  Any options that I can do on my own?

my 2020 with the 2.7 started doing it this winter, only smell it when i remote start the truck. i pressure tested the exhaust and sprayed it with soapy water and found no leaks. i now leave it recirculation mode and that helps. i am at 95k miles

That a bummer to hear.. I definitely notice this the most when remote starting in the winter.  I will try the recirculation mode and see if that helps.  

 

Do you have any issues in the summer?

Experience the same when remote starting. 2021 1500 with 5.3.  Can't recall if I experienced this in prior years, but definitely notice it this year.

cause mine started doing it this winter, i will have to wait til summer to see if it is the same

Alright good to know. I just changed the cabin air filter which was pretty gross but I still have the smell on remote start
