When in campgrounds at night, when unlocking the truck, the headlights come on.  That's inconsiderate for other campers, especially when your headlights aim straight at somebody's tent.  I was looking for a way to disable this.  Check me if I'm wrong!

It seems like if I turn the spring-loaded headlight switch to the left to manually turn off exterior lights, this fixes the problem.  Better yet, when the truck is started again it turns the lights and DRLs on again. Voila!

Those bastards!  The headlight-off switch times out after about 10 minutes.  I couldn't find any settings to turn off "headlights on when unlocking".  You can turn off the blinking turn signals (or parking lights?) but the headlights still come on.  If I missed something, please let me know.  I guess I could make some cute little curtains with magnets to hang over the lights.  Maybe in pink to show I'm pissed.

Sorry, thought my signature was enough (but I guess it doesn't always show?).  2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD WT, 6.6L gas, 10sp "Allison".  I'm sure GM thinks of it as a courtesy/safety feature to turn on the headlights when unlocking the doors at night.  But if I override it (headlight switch toggled to off), I would rather it didn't come back on by itself.
