Looking at new 2025, but all I can find are trucks with cab lights.  I'm not a fan because I don't want any other reason for the roof to leak.  Has there been many reported roof leaks from the cab lights?  Google didn't show too much.

I have owned 4 HD trucks with cab lights and never had an issue. I would be more concerned about the shark fin antenna, GM has had issues with those in the past.

Cab lights are required by the US DOT for these trucks because of their overall width. However, California has a statute that is interpreted as not allowing them due to a prohibition against things that look like emergency vehicle light bars, so the trucks in California at least recently were sold without the cab lights. If you don’t want them, maybe you could buy from a California dealer.

There are trucks in other states without cab lights.  I just not a big fan of having extra holes in the top of my cab if its not NECESSARY that it has to be

I felt the same way when ordering my 2021, but I was not given a choice unless I took delivery in CA and I’m in WA. Mine have been fine and they look well designed/installed to stay sealed for the life of the truck.

I wanted the cab lights, but I live in CA so my truck does not have them.  I'm fine with NO cab lights...NO holes above driver cab is OK by me....and I don't live a wet climate!!🤣
