I wish gm didn't decide the 120 psi range on the gauge was a good thing. Everytime I look at it I initially think low pressure because it's always sitting around a quarter. Dumb. I'm thinking about going to the gauge setup that doesn't show oil pressure.

Accurate would be nice too.

Id say mine isnt too far off judging from the readings on the Autel scanner. Unless they get their readings from the same place that is. The scanner does absolute pressure too.

The lack of a legit numerical value on all the trucks tells me some very unserious folks were on the team that designed the gauges. My Scangage 3 gives me useful numbers, not just a bar graph thats all guesswork and barely better than an idiot light.

I am hoping that the refresh on both the 1500 and the HD's includes real gauges. I made my feelings known to GM some time ago and I have seen many reviews speaking poorly of the design. I believe the new dash will have a different way of displaying the instruments, it will be more like a monitor display hopefully making it more adaptable to the owners needs.

I was hoping to be in contact with someone at GM with my input on the instrument and gauge layout but it never panned out.
