Tailgate - Not receiving notification for main Tailgate Open

Not receiving notifications for the main tailgate open. I did have the switch replaced under warranty and don't know if this is when the issue started. The upper tailgate sends notifications when open. Is the sensor in the switch or somewhere else? I have recently been advised of driving with my tailgate down and would be an issue when trailering.

I think my 2025 also only notifies me when the inner tailgate is down, but not the whole thing.
