Remote Starting issue or not

Just so all know its the 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD 6.6 gas that we have

Since new when I use the remote start feature the truck starts just as if you were starting it from in the cab but there's a strange noise that sound right after it starts . Its really hard to explain almost a loud whrrring noise or maybe as if its traying to start again although the engine is running . Is this normal ? Have you noticed anything similar   ?

I do have to take it in for a check up so maybe I mention it then

Since it seems to be repeatable, start with locating where the noise is coming from.

I don’t notice any different sounds when I remote start versus normal start my 2021 gas 3500.

Going into the dealership on Friday see what they find out . Meanwhile any others have this issue ?

My 2020 gas almost always made a ratcheting type noise that lasted for a half second a couple of seconds after start. GM blamed it on the oil pump and said it was normal.

This may be what the OP was hearing that caused his concern. The oil pump cavitation noise on a given start is the same regardless of whether the start is initiated normally or remotely, but it sounds different if you are outside the truck versus inside.

Thanks JR So maybe I have the better half start it from the inside and see if I hear the noise from the outside like I do when I start it remotely

I have taken the truck into the dealership to see what the problem might be . Well it would not make the noise after repeated remote starts . So Its only when the truck has not be driven beforehand .  So the dealership wants me to take a video of it starting from a cold start to see if they might be able to figure it out or leave it overnight and they try it in the morning

Update to this issue as I have now 2 seprate threads on it . JR has graciously offered to help me out by posting a vide of the starting of a 2024 2500 HD  6.6 Gas so I may see and hear what his truck sound like when starting

 

If any of you fellas have the same truck and would care to video a cold remote start so I can tell if it is similar to my it would be appreciated

Here we go Ryan and others the exact same sound my truck makes . Is this the same noise you experiance JR ?
