Just bought new 2025 Silverado and with the safety package it is supposed to have the safety alert seat, dealer did verify that my truck does show specifically that it has the option. Anyone know under what circumstances the seat will vibrate, I would have thought parking with the park sensors beeping either front or rear the seat should vibrate, dealer thought only if the truck is detecting a side collision possibility that it will vibrate. Today I was changing lanes to make a turn into a turning lane with the current forward lane stopped at a red light and the forward collision alert warned me of a collision, but no seat rumble. I just thought that these scenarios should rumble the seat.

Do you have the alert type in the settings set to the seat alert?  Its either gonna beep or vibrate the seat, depending what you have it set to.

The alert, be it the beep or the seat should go off for parking assist, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision alert, trailer jacknife, some adaptive cruise alerts (if you have ACC) and Super Cruise (if equipped).

I looked in that area of the settings, my truck has nothing about the seat.

Hmm.  What trim level is the truck?

Rst.  I was at the dealer today because they had to install the large Chevrolet decal on the tailgate and they checked my vin and it definitely has the safety alert seat. I am just looking in the truck. The owners manual says in the “comfort and convenience section” only has chime volume option. Under the “collision/detection” section all settings are either on or set to alert and brake.

Looking at the order guide for 2024, 2025 and 2026, option code HS1 Safety Alert Seat is not available nor included in the safety package on WT, Custom, Custom TB, LT, RST and LT Trail Boss.

It is only available and is actually standard on ZR2, LTZ and High Country.

So it seems you don't actually have the safety alert seat, and it sounds like someone isn't reading something correctly on the build for your truck at the dealership.

The GM literature online when you “build and price” my truck shows the rst comes with the safety seat. I forget the exact option code the service manager told me it was but I believe it started with a “B”. Like I said, he told me according to my trucks build sheet it has the safety seat.

Fleet order guide shows

Shows as only standard and only available on ZR2, LTZ and HC

Note 1 applies to LTZ only.

Found out what rpo code they were talking about.

Ask them if it has HS1.

They can print you a build Sheed. It will show more rpo codes that what are shown on the QR code on the trucks doorpost.

I do see where the seat is shown in the safety equipment package listing on the (Canadian) price and build -- and does not indicate if all or just some of the trims have it in the package.

Wouldn't be the first time the 'build and price' had information that was misleading or incorrect.

The 'build and price' that shows this also has this note:

U.S. model shown throughout. Due to current supply-chain shortages, certain features shown have limited or late availability, or are no longer available. See the window label or dealer regarding the features on an individual vehicle.

Fleet order guide is much more likely to have the correct information.

Boy GM is confused then. Even my dealer thinks it should have the rumble seat. Makes sense that they save some of these options for higher trims, but make sure your advertising is accurate on the website. Not a huge deal, I just thought if it is supposed to be there it should work.

Regarding accuracy your profile states 21 Silverado.

My LTZ built in '23 has the rumble when it detects a forward alert or if I am too close to something like a bush of something when leaving the driveway. It seems to work on pretty much every alert.

I haven't looked into customizing or turning it off.

My build sheet shows it as "Safety Alert Seat" in Safety Package II as a dealer installed option:
