How accurate is this video:

 

To my eyes, some of the footage seems inaccurate. One shot has a motor w/ a clutch instead of a flywheel. Another has upswept headers rather than cast iron manifolds.

 

And really Mary Barracuda pleased that it's an ICE... I'm not sure why she's on the 'teaser' shot.

 

Finally isn't the new motor scheduled to come out in MY2027?

It's an AI video.

 

The engine being shown is the LSA engine, same one in the CTS-V and ZL1 Camaro from the 2009ish and beyond years.

AI slop.  

 

2026 HD is unchanged just about across the board except for a couple color and option tweaks.  We already have 2026s on the ground, the plants have been making them since about August/September.

Thanks guys. Something didnt seem right to me about it.

 

Also, about the engines that were being assembled, are they still in production & are they built in the same facility as the truck motors? To my uneducated eye, the process seemed more low production/handbuilt vs high volume. Then again I was never in the St Catherines plant during an actual shift.

Tonawanda plant.  You can see the shirt on the one guy.  Tonawanda does the LT2 for Corvette still and they do 5.3, 6.2 and 6.6 truck production.  Not sure if they are still doing the LT4 supercharged, I think that got moved as only Cadillac is using that engine now, but Tonawanda used to do it for C7 Corvette and 6th gen Camaro ZL1. 

 

They are also getting $888 million for 6th gen small block which starts production 2027.

 

The footage in that video looks to be LT2 Corvette production.

I got my 2026 6.6l gas almost a month ago now. Build date was August. So far I love it but man they should pay more attention for QC lol.
