I have a 2023 Silverado 6.2 CCSB LTZ. The current mirrors have cameras, heat, puddle lights, back side light, auto tint, power fold, blind spot notification, temp sensor. Does anyone make a dependable full size tow mirror with the same features that will bolt on and function correctly without any programming to the vehicle? If not, what is the closest I can get? Thanks.

OEM-style replacement tow mirrors are too expensive for my 2020 1500 ... at least for me. I'm using these snap-on mirrors when towing travel trailer. Mirror is manual adjustable, but have been good enough for the price. Also, my truck doesn't have camera and puddle lights. There is some image bouncing in mirrors, but not a issue for me.

I should have clarified that I want to keep all features that I currently have. Thanks.

Boost Auto does not have camera support still.  If you get those, you will lose your side camera views.

OEM is an option.  Do you have memory seating and Bose?

I have tried to register on this site but not having any success. However, I just added OEM tow mirrors with cameras to my 2026 RST. All features are working, but I still need to send my VPM to WAMS to get it programmed for the new camera location.

I ordered the Boost Auto harness kit. My RST had the wires in the door jamb harness on the vehicle side, I used the harnesses from the BA kit to wire all the lights as shown in their videos. I already had the running light circuit so I de-pinned from pin 13 and moved it to pin 5. I then pinned the remaining wires using the BA connectors. The mirror wiring is the same for both sides. The wiring needs to look like this:

re-pin 13 to 5 - task lamp
8 - turn signal
16 - cargo lamp
13 - running lamp

On the vehicle side, I had to use the included BA jumper wires to enable the existing circuits running to the door. They are obviously features turned off in the BCM. The spotlights function from the original button and the aux lights on the mirror side function from the cargo light button. Turn signals and running lights work as expected.

I also had to remove and then swap my original cameras from my original mirrors as the VPM would not recognize the included tow mirror cameras. Swapping out to my original was fairly easy and they worked immediately. You can look up replacing the mirror caps to see how to disassemble non-tow mirrors. For the tow mirrors, you simply have to remove the small torx on the bottom of the base and pull the bottom cap off the mirror. This houses the camera on the driver side and the camera/temp sensor on the passenger side. From there it is simply a case of swapping out the camera module from the mounts.

For mirror fold there two pins that you have to reverse polarity just like a winch motor. I used a remote fold/unfold controller from Amazon and wired a switch to the lock/unlock. I prefer to manually fold only when I want to, not looking for auto fold functions. I did this because the control box from Amazon completely folds/unfolds with a single button press, just like it would from OEM. Otherwise, you would need to press and hold the switch to go fully in or out. Also, you must connect power ground to these pins to fold them out before installation, they come out of the box in the folded position.

Here is the kit I ordered from Amazon: Amazon.com: Ymiko Rear View Mirror Folding Module Universal Side Rearview Mirror Auto Fold Unfold Controller Folding Closer Module for 12V Car with Manual Switch : Automotive

I wired a 3 way momentary/off/momentary switch to the lock/unlock inputs of the control box. Then power/ground and output to the fold/unfold wires going out to the mirrors.

I made custom 2 wire harnesses for each door to connect to the folding circuits on the mirrors. I also used the included BA harness intended for the lighting functions to connect to the door jamb inside the vehicle and to the switch/control box. The folding pins on the mirror connectors are:

3 - mirror fold in
15 - mirror fold out

The bottom line is that it is absolutely possible to add tow mirrors, and keep all the OEM functions, as long as you are not afraid of a little effort. This is not a simple plug and play, but I don't think it is too difficult for anyone into DIY mods.

Great write up. Do the new mirrors have auto tint? I went through a similar ordeal on my 2017 LTZ but added the cameras because it was not an option back then.

My original mirrors did not have auto tint or tilt. The original features were spotlight and camera.

Also, what mirrors did you go with?

I went with OEM tow mirrors with spotlight, rear cargo, camera and power fold. I would have chosen the Boost mirrors but didn't want to give up the camera features.
