Hi all,

Has anybody added a extension tube to the oil filler hole? Making it easier to put oil in. I found one on Amazon. But it's straight and 2-3 inches long. I know that the added length would help hold the funnel. Was hoping for a 45 degree one.

Here's a thread...  I'm not sure which entriy this landed on, but the entire thread is full of ideas.

Since I am also curious on this, do you keep the extension tube in at all times and put the factory cap on it? Or do you remove the extension after adding the oil?

I noticed the 6.6L in the vans have an extension on them. I wonder if a guy could find that part and just put it on their truck. It would bring the filler hole right up higher to make it easier.

If you put an extension tube on it you may lose the right to complain that your truck requires a step ladder to change the oil.

Find out what year and model of the van. Then go to gm website parts and see if can come up with a part number.

If you're under 5'10" you might need a ladder just to see the oil filler tube

I keep it in all the time.  Perhaps I should explain whyimage.gif.27452ea5528ff020c1ba278874e95f0c.gif  I have a 5.3 Silverado, and I have added a catch can.  The two hoses go directly over the oil fill tube.  Filling with oil turned out to be a real pain.  The extension separates the two lines to the catch can and makes the oil fill much easier.

This is my hobby. I don't want to make money off of it. I have had close to 20 people on this site and others ask me to sell them one.

Ok, I thank you for your response. I didn't mean anything by it. And was just asking. I  understand that it cost alot to use a 3D printer.
