For those who didn't know, I went to BSA summercamp this past week. For those who remember a year ago, this was the place I got the ear-plugs stuck in my ear last year.

 

Thankfully, that tradition did not continue this year.

 

I'm going to try to up-load some pics that my mother took of me doing all the good stuff.

 

 

What did I do at camp you ask? Well......

 

-Shot shotguns 5 out of the 7 days I was there. And earned the Shotgun Shooting Merit Badge.

 

-Shot Highpowered rifles (30-6, 270, 243. etc.)on Wednesday.

 

So needless to say,my right shoulder hurts like #### right now.

 

I did more than that, but those were the highlights.

 

 

Now I gotta figure out what the #### Zane did to the forum while I was gone. j\k

Sounds like a heckuva lota fun to me. Would they let me bring my AK? If you refuse to use ear plugs that have cords this little trick may help. Should you get an ear plug in to far, Take 6 to 8 deep relaxing breaths, then place your right thumb in your mouth and blow real hard. Make sure to tell everyone to keep clear!

Almost forgot did you do any competeing?

Oh yeah, our troop participated in "IronMan" (Kind of like a Redneck\Outdoorsman biathalon ). It was a "Tag" race.

 

My leg was to ride a mountain bike (They gave me the sh*ttiest bike in camp BTW ) from the waterfront to the shotgun range and fire at 4 clay pigeons. For every one I missed, my troop was deducted 5 seconds (timed event).

I'm with ya' General.  I've been out for a little over a week and the whole place is different. ;)
