I don't understand anyone having a modern HD truck without running boards. Even then they're too effin tall. I'm 6'2, and specifically bought the lowest hanging running boards I could find, and it's still too tall, imo.

Buddy at work has a 2500 Zr2 without running boards, and he's 5'6.

How?

I was just fine without them. Wife complained enough to make me get a set. I ended up with GMs "high clearance" boards, they're fine. Would've rather had electric ones but, didn't want to fork out the money for them.

Are the mud flaps extenders onto the stockers?

Yes, from Weather Tech.

Amp Power Steps are worth every penny (or should I have said dollar?).  They go down and out further than any other step bar and are useful to enter AND exit the vehicle.  With bars, people use them to step in but just drag their leg across the dirty bar when exiting as they aren't useful being so far inward.  Power steps also go up and tuck away preventing them from hanging up on anything.  I've had mine for 14 years and they've been completely trouble-free with just an occasional spray of lubricant.

I believe AMP were the ones I was looking at. Still on the list, just not anytime soon.

I would never have installed them if it wasn’t for my short wife and little kids. I’m 6’1” and athletic and it’s nothing for me to get in without running boards and I like the look without them. I feel like I’m making this short little step into my truck with the running boards.
