Getting Exhaust

Hi guys,

I'm gonna get a new exhaust system soon, and I just had a couple questions. I wanna go 3 inch cat back with flow 40s, and this muffler shop by my house mandrel bends the piping, and muffler and tip are included for 345 (I heard they do an awesome job too). Sounds like a good deal to me, but would there be any pros and cons to getting a custom one like that??? Like loss in torque and stuff since it isn't dyno tested. Anything feedback is much appreciated.

You'll notice a slight low end loss, not a lot, but you'll gain it back with a good intake. $345 is pricey to me, but that's because my exhaust guy does systems for me for $250 lol. Overall, it isn't a horrible price. 40 series will drone most likely, mainly under 35-45 cruise. 2.25" out will work better than 2.5", and it will leave an extra little bit of space for clearance issues.

You'll notice the main difference in power up top, since the freer flowing exhaust mainly helps up top anyways.

 

I don't know what else to say right now, other than the fact that I'd go 50 series or a Borla system, but I HATE drone lol. Check out the website in my signature for a few 5.3 clips too!
