Anyone with a 2001 Blazer with a mini overhead console with the sunroof..... do you know how to change the light bulbs in this console. This is the console that you just push the lens to turn the light on/off (as opposed to a little button on the side) I have a burnt out light bulb in there and I don't know how to change it. Do I take the whole unit off or just pry the lens off? I don't want to break anything with the price of parts from the dealer :)  and I don't do aftermarket when OEM is available. Thanx.

I would think that you have to take the whole overhead console down to do it.  If it's like the silverados it would have a screw in the front and tabs in the rear.  Might I suggest buying a Haynes or Chilton repair manual.  For the 20 bucks they cost they are a great reference book when doing repairs.

If you look at the lens of the light, is there a plus sign indented into the middle of the lens?

If so, take a screwdriverand use it to twist the light assembly, it should drop down then.

No, there is no plus sign on the lens. These two lenses are oddly shaped, they are not round, so you would not be able to turn them. But thanx anyway. There is a screw towards the front (close to the windshield) so I guess I'll have to remove the whole thing. Oh well, but I will pick up one of those Chilton's Manuals.

Sorry, in my Blazer even though I didn't have a sunroof, I could just turn the whole lens by that little plus sign and they'd pop right out.
