Slick trash bag for your truck

For those of you with the center console check this out......

Ever drive down the road on a trip and get pi$$ed because the wife(girlfriend)put her trash in the door pockets?

Here is the cure.

On the center console where your cupholders are(I am not sure if the pre 04 models have this) gently pull the whole cupholder out,You will have to be a little firm and will have to pull it out carefully. When you get it out look on the sides and locate the tabs that hold them in place. Cut the tabs off eith a razor knife.Dont worry, it will stay in place when you put it back. Now line the opening with a plastic shopping bag and drop the cup holders back into place....

now you simply lift the cupholder up and WALLA, instant trash bin....

Works great 4 me... :):cheers::cheers:

Darn those wives (GF's)! Why can't they learn where stuff goes in a truck!

Don't they know those pockets are for Road maps (Not that we need them), tire pressure gauge, hunting knife, hair brush, compass, playboy mag, instant air freshener and such! It's no place for chewing gum wrappers, used tissues or make-up!

LOL! The doors in my truck are always full of gum wrappers on the passenger side from the GF. I tell her every time just to throw it on the floor. It is much easier to clean up. I tell her time and time again but it just doesn't do any good. She just keeps filling it with wrappers and tissues. My side holds a map, trailer keys, my cell phone holder for work, and a few tins of Kodiak. :)

dont you guys have an ash tray in your truck? Pull it out and its a small trash bin. My gf sure does know how to fill it up however she never empties it :)

So I'm the only one that's guilty here of using the doors as trash receptacles? I have to have a place for it...that seemed the easiest. It usually gets emptied every day or two. I don't put anything in there that's dirty, it's usually dry paper trash, or cd wrappers, etc.

All you guys with girlfriends who do this who think that when(if) you marry her, you can change this little habit, you are DEAD WRONG!!

Guys, this is the FIRST clue of what your future holds with her. After a couple years of being married to this woman, you will be remembering back of fond memories when she used to ONLY put trash in your door card. The rest of your truck and the house will be like that as well, how SHE wants it, NOT how you want it.

My advice, nip this problem in the bud. Get rid of her RIGHT NOW!! Get a dog. My dog has NEVER put anything anywhere it is not supposed to go. He never gets mad if I leave him in the truck to talk to friends, he never changes the radio station/CD, he could care less how late I stay out at night or how drunk I get!

Ditch the girl friend and get a dog. Besides a good looking dog is a chick magnet and you he may help you get lucky!

Hell, leave the dog in the truck when you go in the bar to get a "friend for the evening". He WON'T mind a bit! The next day, you are happy, the dog is happy and your door card is free of trash! :)

Follow me here guys??

My wife has alergies so every Sunday, when I detail the vehicles, I get to remove several snotty tissues from the door pockets in the Yukon. Not a huge deal, really, but guess what happens if I leave my shoes out or the toilet seat up.

One of our females at work loves to leave her used tissues in the door pockets of the cruisers...I love it. It's bad enough when they put cans/wrappers under the seats, but the tissues drive me nuts.

Screw that...It's her job to put your shoes up. That's skirt work.

As for the toilet seat. Tell her that she needs to start putting it back up when she's done.

You know the honeymoon's over when your bride no longer washes HER car !

For those of you young and "IN LOVE" here is how it (she) works

1) When dating "hey she has a nice lookin car and it's always clean!

(hell my wife even use to change her own oil!)

2) you get married and she still keeps it clean, but you being the gentleman you go the extra mile and keep it real clean, waxed and shinning like new

3) after about 5 years you notice you don't have the time you use to have with all of your toys and house and "honey do list" and for some reason "her car" allways seems to look dirty.... what the hell is that collecting in the inside????

3) after about 10 years "all she seems to do is drive the wheels off it"

now somewhere in there comes the "rug rat(s)" and all goes to sheet" more scratches and scrapes on the plastic parts and worn out carpet (even with carpet savers") from little feet always moving around.

>> I just spent over 1 hour yesterday just vacuuming out the insides of my Wifes Jeep grand cherokee. She has done it the last 2 times over about 3 months.....Guess what, she didn't take out the black magic carpet liners when she vacummed!.... can you say $#@%^&. I was ticked off to say the least. And I wonder why I never like to drive the vehicles she drives as a daily driver!

My advice if you want a show room looking drive......Don't get married , don't have kids and trade the girl friend in more often than you do your truck.

Then again marriage and family is a wonderful thing. Oh the sacrifices we MEN make for our ladies !

well not a good start. The inside of her car looks like a library/gym with all her school books and clothes. :)

She did though recently buy new floor mats

For those of you will a full console (the one that goes all the way to the dash and has a tape player in it..) I find that the little area below the tape player that has a door on it is an excellent place for trash. It is concealed from view where no one can see it, but it does hold a good amount of stuff. The door hides it nicely, and it makes you a lot of times forget it is even in there!

Guys, What is the deal? I have been with my gf for 5 years. She knows not to put stuff in the doors or on the floor. And when she closes the door she uses the handle and does not touch the paint. :)
