Engine rattling noise

I have a 99 Tahoe with 62k miles, lately when going up hills I'm hearing what sounds like a rattle noise. Almost like a dielsel sound. Wandering if the valves are going or what?? Any ideas and is there any low cost solutions ? Thanks in advance.

try running a higher octane gas. If it goes away, it's time for a tuneup.

  That's a good question. Over-the-Air technology allows some software updates for certain vehicle components to be downloaded and installed over a wireless connection. Updates are downloaded and installed via Connected Access or by connecting your vehicle to a Wi-Fi network. When an update is made available for your vehicle, you’ll get an in-vehicle notice. This will happen the next time you turn your vehicle on or put it in park.   Didn't I read where if Gm does the valve body on the "Allison", you get a 10yr/150k warranty? Kinda wish mine has a minor blip around 24k. Get a free trans service, and a pile of warranty.
