2wd Suburban

I finnally found a 1owner - super mint 99 Suburban 2500-454 w 4.10 rears.....but its 2wd! I really want 4x4 for hunting- but the truck is so nice... Anyone got a 2wd truck? Why?

A 2wd burb with a good posi and some very "nasty" rear tiree will surprise you where is will go. They are heavy on the rear and do well because of it. I have a 89burb thay I have had since new with smoonth street tires that we use for family trips and I have not used the 4x4 in it but a few dozen times at most in its life and most of that was getting in and out of a barn for winter storage as I do not use it much in winter anymore. Put some studded cleated tires on it and it will out do a 4x4 without studs on ice. a 454 w/4.10 2wd would be a sweet cruiser with lots of grunt too.

Even though its a 2wd , is there a way to raise the truck 2-4inches? I gotta think with the truck only being 2wd- it should get better gas milage.
