Will this go away?

I've been noticing for some time now that the speedometer acts a little weird. If you are driving along and you come to a stop, the vehicle is at a stop but the spedometer is still traveling to zero. Usually when you are stopped the speedometer is still coming down from around 10 mph. Can't say for certain but maybe this started when I went from 265 to 285's and now more pronounced at 315's??? Will be calibrating the speedometer probably late Monday but just wondered if the tire size and the lag in the speedometer were related. I think it also takes a second before the speedometer will move up once starting to roll again.

Mine does this on occasion also. Sometimes as I accelerate, the needle will "jump" in 5-6 MPH segments, instead of climbing smoothly it will jump from 20-25 25-30. I thought about having the dealer check it out ,but it only happens every couple thousand miles, and usually once or twice and then it works fine again.

It is hard to say it they are related but it is completely control by the computer using data from speed sensor in tranny. You might check connection there too.

Ok, I re-calibrated the computer for the new tire size and............

It does the same thing.

So I guess this is normal then. Just thought I would ask about it.

Slow a$$ computer, I need a pentium IV :troll:
