Steering column noise

Anybody getting a funny (thats the best way I can describe it right now) noise out of what seems to be the steering column???  I thought it was me, but when I drove my Dad's truck the other day it does the same thing ???

 

Anybody got an idea??  Is there a TSB about this??

yep give me a min there is a fix

 

Real quick (30-45 min) and easy

 

steering shaft needs replacement

yep, I also had it done of my 2000, works like a champ now.

Yep, same here! I also had a funky vibration associated with it in addition to the noise.  Intermittent @ first, but got worse until the dealer finally "admitted" they could feel it.
