Hello everyone I have already asked about tire sizes so now i was wondering what tires has everyone had the best service from? I am going to go with the 265/75R16 i want something that is somewhat aggresive but not a mud tire i guess more of a good all season or all terrain. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks

Hi - Two great A/T tires would be the BFG A/T KO's and the Bridgestone Revo's. The jury is still out on which one is best because they both are great performers. I run the BFG's on my truck and jeep and I really like the way they perform in all aspects. You can't go wrong with either one.

I really liked the 265/75-16 Goodyear Wrangler GS-A for an all around tire on my 2500HD, they fit great on the stock PYO wheels. I've also run the Wrangler AT/S in the same size, they are a little more aggressive, but don't seem to wear as well. AT/S's are also available in E load range (blackwall)!

Sounds like "All Terrains" are what you want, here is what tirerack offers in that size:

A couple of extras comments: On the Bridgestones. I prefer the Dueler REVOs. Dig around on TireRack, as well as the search engine here. The REVOs seem a bit loosey-goosey when towing, when using load range C. Preferred load range would be E, possibly for chronic towing. This is second-hand info since I do mainly light towing. Other than that, the REVOs are the "best" in their category. Here's the TireRack URL:

Toyo Open Country 285/75/16. So far Iam very pleased with these tires. Very, very quite on road. Excellent traction. Less than 2000k on them to this point. I highly recomend this tire. I tow a 4000# boat and trailer with no handling probs.

I've run both the BFG's and now have the REVO's on my truck. I prefer the REVO's as they are less noisey. Actually, really pretty quiet. And don't hold stones like the BFG's. So far I have about 20K miles on them and they are wearing very well. And I don't baby it.

The REVO's don't do as well in mud as the BFG's but seem to do better in snow. On road handleing and traction is very good dry or wet.

Yo Yo Mama'S I mean Yokohama's. I have the GEO Lander AT II. I love them they are quiet on the road but they are great off road in the dirt and mud.

I looked outside the norm when getting GOOD tires. Nothing against BFG and Revo's looked at them both, but my friend in the tire industry went to Nokian in Finland and he said they have about a 15 year jump of technology on the US tire industry. He has Nokian's on his Explorer with over 50,000 miles and tires are still good. Therefore with some research I got the Nokian Vativa (only OWL tire they sell). The tires are agressive, very good traction, they look good and very low road noise. Since I purshased last year I have sold about 20 sets of tires just by people looking at my truck and if I see anyone with them they have nothing but praise for them. They sell a tire named the Hakkapeliitta, real cool tread. Oh yeah, they cost less than BFG's

*** I am not associated with Nokian tires or any wholesale/retail agent of Nokian, just a happy customer. ***
