How to remove pillars

I'm going to be replacing the component system in my 04 Silverado, and was wondering how to carefully remove the front pillars where the tweaters are installed. I've tried looking through the threads and online, but nothing came up.

well not too sure about the 04's but the 02 and eariler just pop out like the triangle piece on the door. If I think of it I will pop one off on an 04

Yea, if like our 04 Yukon, it has those metal spring clips that insert into an oval slot in the metal of the body. Start at the top, there is one just @ 2 inches from the top. If I recall, it is more toward the front edge, so pull parallel to the side window. I think there was a secong clip @ 2/3 way down, and the very bottom edge has a small tab that mates to the dash.
