Spark Plug Question

My truck has been running a little rough at idle for a couple of weeks now. So I changed my plugs this weekend (its been about 38K miles). When I pulled all the old ones out, the tips were red. I asked some friends and one told me that putting in the fuel injector cleaner does this, another told me I was putting in too high of octane gas.

Any ideas?

 never seen a red plug before but if it is from injector cleaner then when I change my plugs tomorrow they should in theory be red as well  Guess I'll find out tomorrow :P

I put techron in my tank every oil change, but I've never seen my plugs red.....I use regular old copper plugs though....could that be the difference?

I just changed my plugs and one was red but the other 7 were a nice golden brown  They did have a spot of yellow but I also just used a bottle of outlaw injector cleaner so that could be why  got to go make sure everything is connected tight though cause she's runnin rough :D Not at idle just under load. dammit next time I'm gonna be lazy and have the shop do my dirty work :P
