Climate control light bulbs

But this is for the radio I need to know the voltage for the solder in bulbs on the climate control panel. Is it 12 volts or 1.5 volts, those are the only two Radio Shack has so I hope it is one of them. My guess is 12 volt.

Of course this is for a Grand Prix but parts should be similar/identical. The bulb numbers he lists there are 12 volts.

Hi;

 

I just replaced the lamps in my 99 Silverado's climate controls. You have to use 6 volt lamps and I decided to change them all while I had it apart. I think there were 5 of them.

Okay where did you get the 6 volt bulbs? A part number would be great too.

Sorry I don't have a part number. I got them from an electronics shop. The original lamps have a white plastic base on them that can be removed so you can use them again and solder the new bulbs in. Its a good idea to change them all because the other ones are probably ready to blow soon.
