Tire pressure??

I pull a 5th wheel trailer with my 2000 1/2 ton Sierra.

Replaced OEM P255's with LT245/75R16's. The circumference is only 1.3 inches greater, so that should cause no problems. The store guys said to run 45#'s all around, and increase the rear to 60#'s when towing.

Does this sound about right?

Those numbers sound good.

I run 50 psi in mine all the way around but my truck is heavier than yours. You may have to adjust the pressure down a little when empty if the truck rides too harsh. It will ride a little bit harsher no matter what the pressure is, but you can adjust accordingly.

Depending on what the pin weight is on the 5'er, you will have to adjust the rears a little. 60 psi sounds like a good place to start, but you may want to bump it up a little more. Just be careful though, because I don't believe the 1/2 ton wheels are rated for much over 45 psi.
