bed off or tank down

Did the fuel pump,fuel sending unit change this weekend. Opted for tank down as opposed to takn bed off. Not as bad as I thought. Sending unit was not bad, just rusted fittings twisted one line had to replace unit.

Next project is front level and shocks, need suggestions as to make and brand.

I was thinkin the same thing

I sure hope that anyone thinking of doin it that way would remember to put blocks under the bed so they dont get crushed when the jack slips

I did the same thing on my old S-10 when I had to replace all the fuel lines when they rusted out. Lifted the front of the bed and rested it on a pair of large logs. Plenty of space!

I think you're right,now that I look at it closer, it does look like a jackstand...

Not really a problem as when the boards slide out he wont have a head to examine anymore

I love that pic...its been posted here and on other forums before. It really does look like he's welding on the tank. Of course, he probably drained most of the gas out because he thought that would make it safer
