SES LIGHT HELP!

Recommended Posts

 I need help! I'm trying to reset the SES light in my 2000 Silverado Z71 5.3. I get code PO 452 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR any idea what this may be? I looked up Autozone and did not find any fuel pressure sensor... where is it located? what is its function?

I also get ABS/BRAKE light on and off with code EBCM RELAY CIRCUIT. It seems that the relay is malfunctioning... any ideas?

Last one... PO332 Knock sensor... I'll replace it, but if I need anything more to know, your help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

It may be your fuel pressure regulator. I'm not sure but I think its located on top of the intake manifold just upstream of the injectors.

that's what I thought of doing, I could not find any pressure sensor. I'll give it a try and post the results. Thanks

With that many codes you should clean both the pos. & neg. battery cables at the battery and put grease or electrical silicone grease on them. Try this first.

The knock sensor is under the intake plentum.

Anyone ever think that maybe there are just a few to many sensors on these new trucks?  And the fact that most of them are nearly impossible to get to?

Well if you can get the goverment to cut back on emissions & mileage then we can do without the extras but dont forget we may be forced to go back to low torque/horsepower/mileage. I myself prefer the good torque/horsepower & mileage. :chill:

Man I sure do miss my 96 Z71.... as I've seen in other threads I think we'd all like to buy a NBS with the old 5.7 and much less electronics and gimiks

But the 5.7L isnt even close in emmissions/fuel economy & performance. Tecnology moves forward if it didnt you wouldnt be talking on the internet.
