Transfer case Part. 2

Well I got my transfercase accuator warrantied by the local Gmc dealer and I put the new accuator on and the motor is quiet and sounds good to me

Not noisey like the bad one.. The accuator came in the neutral postion, I shifted the transfer case manually, when I turned the key to test it it came up in neutral, so i pressed 4 wheel hi , you can hear the motor trying to shift it but it just flashes on 4 wheel hi and then the light goes out on the switch.

I tried swapping the switch from my dads yukon and it did the same thing, I also switched his transfer case shift module and the problem still didnt dissapear. His 4wd works flawlesslly..

Ive run out of options... any ideas????? :D:thumbs:

internal t-case problems, wiring issues, transfer case control module, maybe the module has an updated programing. have you had the system scanned for codes?

transfercase control module I tested already , I swapped out with a good one.. I dont think it could be an internal problem because the shifter on my case shifts just as easily as my dads yukon xl...

I havent ruled out wiring problems.. My next thing to do in the next couple days is to go get it scanned but Id like to get it into 2wd first..

Well I have my transfer case in neutral.. is there a way your supposed to follow to shift it out of neutral?? It seems that something is keeping the motor on the case from turning it into the desired range.... after the light goes out in neutral (transmission) you go to put it in park and it grinds like its between gears.

transmission in neutral , shif into or out of neutral in the t-case wait

for say 2hi to light up. put tranny back in drive.

might help if the truck is rolled forward or back a few feet to ingauge

the sun gear inside the t-case.
