Colorados first snow......Avalanche owner

We got our first good snow last night.  It didn't amount to much this morning (only about 2 inches).  But it was coming down real hard last night and slicking up the roads nicely.  The Avalanche handled real well.......I just flipped on the fog lamps and started hunting down small fields for fun........might of waxed a rabbit or two but the slipping and sliding was a blast.

I've been slipping and sliding since about the middle of October here in Anchorage.  My kids and myself love it, wife kinda freaks out.    Was doing donuts in a large field a few weeks back.  Isn't it a blast?    :D

At first snow each year, I head for an unplowed church parking lot and practice breaking the front and rear ends loose.  The first morning commute with snow is usually a good day to work from home.  People seem to forget how to handle it or drive way too slow.

Hey mrowe8, have Chevy dealers tried to capitalize on the name of that certain Colorado team that tries to play hockey? ;)

Suprisingly not.  I expected the dealers to at least try and come up with some AV package with team jackets and jerseys or some stuff like that but no.  I actually talked them down to a real good price I think.  4X4 1500 z71 Indigo blue with bucket cloth seats, assist steps, full tint, hard tonneau cover, for 32,000.  Sticker was 36,500.  Invoice plus options was around 31,000. So they made their money but I didn't get worked to bad.  Plus they paid off the 9,000 left on my wifes trade-in 2000 neon.  What a deal, she dumps here neon and I give her my 99' Accord Coupe and get a brand new Av for myself.
