just curious, is it at all possible to convert my 88 style headlights and grille to say a setup like the 1990-91 suburbans had, with the 4 headlights? i like that front end the most. if so what mods to the headlight wiring would i need to make to accept the 4 headlights? and would i need to replace any body panels, beside the grille and such?

here are pics of what i want to do

From what I remember, there used to be aftermarket kits to convert, that included the harness, grille, etc. Iif I remember correctly, the core support had to be changed as well. I had an 88 and 90 Suburban, but the thing I remember the most was the difficulty finding the replacement headlamps for the 90 when I had to. They were also quite a bit more expensive, if I remember correctly... but they do make the front end look way better.

Good luck!

cool. it can be done. i checked ebay and no dice on a kit. does anybody know who made those kits? mainly i just want it for the wiring for the headlights. would be easier than hacking up my harnesses, and i can always find the body panels in a junkyard.

Just happened to notice an ad in Truckin Magazine... www.sporttrucking.com

Didn't see it on the page, but in the print ad they had it $665 complete, and other options. Call @ 800-598-5555 Orange, CA

easy conversion, you just need to change the grill, headlight buckets, and the actual turn signals and headlamps. Good luck with it, and you may be able to find the complete set at a junk yard cheaper then buying that kit.
