I have a 2000 Z71 Ext. Cab and was wondering if the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank?

I have a 2000 Z71 Ext. Cab and was wondering if the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank?

Correct it is located in the tank. It the sending unit, fuel pump, gauge etc is all one unit located in/on top of the tank.

  Thanks for the reply. Im not sure what you mean by the hype Nate puts out. I dont really know much about either trans. I do hear more about the 10 speed transmission having issues but im sure it's only a small % of them that are manufactured. I have heard that the 10 keeps you in the power curve more with less Rpm drop. My stepfather has a 10 speed in his 1/2 ton and im not crazy about the way it shifts and he has started experiencing shudder at 100k.
