Hey guys, been a wilile since i posted but heres the story......

I raced my friend on the highway today in one lane tho he took off right behide me, never could get caught up...... HE has a 1998 D/C Diesel reg cab 4x4, hypertech 120 horse, plus fuel turned up, pretty fast truck, suprised i beat him, so was he :withstupid:

Raced my 2 friends right after that on the local 2 mile back road strech(paved) and the Trucks were a 04 Ram 1500 reg cab 4x4 with 4.7 Magum, other was a 1995 Ford F-150 with the 5.8 or 5.7 reg cab LWB 4x4, dead even with both trucks on take off untill i hit 3rd gear and it was over for both, by the time i hit 70, he was 8 car lenths behind me, when i hit, it was way back there

P.S.

My ride is a:

2001 Chevy 2500HD E-cab 4x4 8.1/Allison, with hypertech, thats it!

Very happy with myself right now!

That sounds about like what I've found when similar trucks try to race me around town, the 8.1 can't loose. But then I went to the track and ran a best 16.5. Most street trucks, especially thoose that think they're fast are really slow.

I know why ya beat that one Ram, the 4.7 is a dog in the full-size truck. My brother drove a 4.7/auto with 20's and he said it was a dog compared to his Dak 4.7, though he's got a stick...

and the older dodge diesels, like the 98 you raced had the old 12 valve engines (i think) but they were still wayyy underpowered compared to the new dodge diesel,if you raced one of them, i think you would have gotten beat, even by a d-max as well

The guy has the 24 Valve in the cummins, it is pretty quick, and i know that a Duramax will beat me, not on take off, but he will be me, dont rub it in :)

Im getting a new dodge diesel in line to race, maybe today, 2004 Dodge cummins automatic, 3500 Crew Cab

Could you tell a real diff with the hypertech? And make sure that Cummins 600 is stock. Because now Chevy/Ford/Dodge can all get a an extra 150+ hp just with a chip.

 Ok guys, Raced the cummins and all i have to say is Dodge needs to put some power behind their trucks!

I ATE IT FOR LUNCH  , when i hit a 98 mph he was 8 -10 car lenths behind me, his mouth dropped to his knees........to bad for him :D

COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT I COULD DO TO HIM WITH A SUPERCHARGER?

WHAT A :)

very nice! I dont care what they say, the 496 is a sweet motor, and i thoroughly think that it is common place that some 8.1L's just flat out run better than others. I have beat trucks with my 8.1L that I dont even mention here because of the poop and names that would get flung at me. I have even beat other 8.1L's by more than a slim margin, so I dont doubt the story.

Nice job!

Thanks linda, im sure alot people on here are saying this is a bunch of  , but i dont care :D I love my 8.1 although the oil buring is what i dont like, im putting 3 to 4 qts between oil changes, that sucks!

I forgot to metion that i ran the Cummins with some octane booster, probably no diff, but sounds good anyways :D

power to wieght ratio, that and driver reaction time, wins most short races. figure out how to put a 10k lb load behind a hyped up ricer, then let them talk. friend of mines got one of the 4.7 dak with the stick, high flow cat and flow masters, wander if i could keep pretty even with a mile race, but I'd have to figure out how to keep traction. them stock 245/75/16 are dogs for pavement tractions.
