NOISY VIBRATION

I've read most of the post on vibration noise and been to the dealer hearing the same old story (normal). On my 02 ECSB 2WD two piece driveshaft Silverado, I have a very audible vibration noise between 800 & 900 rpm's at start up. The vibration feel and noise is much louder when the weather is colder outside, so it has to be temparture related. On a hot summer day you can barely hear or feel it. :withstupid: Any info would help, thanks.

I have the "upgraded" 2 piece drive shaft in my truck. The problem I had was with a trailer on the truck the shaking and shudder was awful. I had to bring the truck and trailer to the dealer to get them to perform the TSB.

Prior to replacement of that drive shaft, I had what the 4 wheel drive guys would describe as a bad slip yoke, step on the gas, wait and then a slap and a bam, then you were moving.

You could have a bad u joint, or someting else, I have never had a vibration with out towing. However the replacement drive shift with the double carden u joint makes a "ringing" sound when the truck is cold, and it's cold outside (say below 30F) around 1000 rpms.

Check this site out, lots of 2 piece drive shaft info.
