Need a Little Help Here

My daughter loves the Teddy Ruxpin talking bear. Unfortunately, they are no longer made and nothing else will suffice. I've been buying them on Ebay for about two years, and frankly, they're getting expensive.

I saw one go for $75.00 today!

Another unfortunate thing about these toys is that they are pretty much disposeable.

I have 7 or 8 in various states of operation. I refuse to pitch them. What I'm looking for is;

1) Some type of repair manual.

2) More Teddy Ruxpins in need of repair cheap or for free.

3) Good Teddy Ruxpins that won't cost an arm and a leg.

This is my daughter's favorite toy in the world, so of course I will do whatever it takes to make her happy.

Please don't bother to reply to this to give me a ration of crap. This is serious business at my house!

Thanks for any help that you can give.

How about you make your own, you could stuff a tape recorder in a teddy bear and call him Teddy Talks a Lot.

I thought of that, but Susan wouldn't go for it. The eyes and mouth have to move. Besides, it not just the fact that it is a talking toy, she's had dozens of attemped replacements. It has to be a Teddy Ruxpin.

I guess my advice would be to buy as many old broken ones as you can and ust them for parts. Maybe you could keep one running with all the spare parts.

You know, pretend you own a Ford!

:devil:
