Blower Motor

I think my ac/heater blower motor is going bad. It will speed up and slow down on its own without me changing the switch speed. I am not sure were it is located, or how hard of a job it is to replace? It is a 1997 Tahoe 2 door 4x4 without rear air. Can anyone tell me were it is, and how hard of a job it is to replace? Thanks

First thing I'd check is the ground wire from the blower motor over to the chassis of the truck.

I had a '92 that I thought the blower motor was bad on. I bought a new motor, pulled the glove box and all the other parts to get to it and change it. I found the ground wire just had a loose screw and all it needed was snugged down a little. Problem solved.

If you look up under the glove box, you'll see a round cover over the motor. PITA to change out, but easy to tighten the ground screw.
