GMC Pictures/Suggestions

I am looking for some pictures of New Body style regular cab 2500hd's with tube steps or Diamond plate running boards. I am trying to decide which style I want, and do not want to order them if I am not going to like how they look on the truck.

I can get a set of DeeZee Diamond plate running boards of ~$200 out the door, or a set of Westin black tube steps for ~$250.

One of my concerns with the tube steps is that the is nothing to stop your foot from going to far. Having never owned any truck with the tube style steps I do not know if this is an issue.

Thanks guys!!

I have the GM chromed SS tube steps. The rubber on these goes all the way between the doors on multidoor trucks (CC, EC) The kick panel under the door keeps your foot from going in too far even when wet with snow, slush or mud.

I like the look (and clearance) of the tube steps over the running boards.

I was in the same situation you were a few months ago.

Only drawback to the tube steps is that they collect mud and slush if you don't have flaps on. The running boards have built in flaps.

With that said, I still like the looks of the tube steps.

My pics are of a CC so that won't help you.

I got the black westin tubes on mine and i like them the only thing is after the 2nd winter they are starting to peel, guess it will give me something to do this summer and paint them ! other then that i would say go with the tubes but that kind of a high price i think i payed 180? can't reameber but it was under 200.

Price I got was from a local dealer.... I have been looking on the net, and I really like the looks of the J&J Stainless running boards...if the $$ is right I just may go with them...

I highly recommend SS tube steps. They won't chip or rust.

I'd also recommend stainless steel tube steps. My dealer did and here is what he installed (prior to my picking up my new 04 last year).

Here is a Pic of my father-in-laws truck with the GMC step bars. I think they look much better than any of the boards I have seen.

These are Luvernes. They are cheaper that factory bars, but seem to be just as good as quality.
