Does anybody have some tire/wheel info you can share on this topic? I've found a deal on a set of 18x9 wheels and was wonder 1) Has anybody ran this size wheel 2) what size tire can I run with these wheels?

I won't mind cranking the torsions some if needed.

I have 18"x9.5" Eagle 114's with 6" backspacing. The tires are Nitto Terra Grappler 325/60R18. I have the "green keys" and the front end is cranked up about 2 1/2" over stock. I had to trim the very inside edge of my bumper/valance and I had to trim some of the inner fender front/back of the tire. The HD's sit a little higher than the 1/2 tons stock so I would think you would definitely need to crank your bars. Find out the backspacing on your new rims. If they are about 4.5" than you should be fine, and you also should look into using 285/60R18 tires, they are a little smaller than the 325's. Good Luck!

These are the wheels I'm thinking about - their web site specs say the bs is 5 1/2

Boss 304 - chrome

I found a tire conversion chart in inches that is interesting:

Stock 265/70/17:

Sidewall - 7.3

Radius - 15.8

Diameter - 31.6

Circumf - 99.3

Revs - 638

Nitto Terra Grappler 285/60/18

Sidewall - 6.7

Radius - 15.7

Diameter - 31.5

Circumf - 98.8

Revs - 641

So If I went with these my overall tire height would be just tad smaller and a tad wider. Is it the backspace that makes the main problems with rubbing?

Oh and I've read some about the "Ford" keys, but what are the "Green" keys and how do they compare?

The "green keys" are for the HD's. The Ford keys do the same thing for the 1/2 tons. The 5 1/2" backspace is borderline for you. I know the factory backspace on my 16"x6" was 5", so those might work for you. If you are buying them locally, see if the shop will at least test fit the rims for you.

Thanks guys!

You like the Nitto Terra tires? I've always been a BFG guy but I'm thinking of something different this time.
