What would be the best Lux amp Part # to get

i can buy the #15114454 amp for a little over $300

There was one on ebay recently for around $100 - you might want to wait and look there. I just searched and didn't see any currently.

That one on ebay was not a lux amp, the seller called it a lux but it was not. I even emailed him and explained how to tell the difference. He did not change his listing and the amp sold for $180. Boy somebody is gonna be pissed.

I won it, but already got a new one from the dealership. I told him to send me pictures of the Part # but he hasnt replied and i havent paid.

the non-lux amps sell for $40

OK, for the un-informed....what's a lux amp? I have an '01 Suburban with non-Bose system.

The Bose systems come in two flavors. Lux (or luxury) in the Hummers and Escalades and non-lux in everything else.

The lux and non-lux head units and amps are only interchangeable if you modify the wiring (which is work but not a project) and reprogram the BCM.

The lux unit has better sound control but neither are as good as a middle of the road aftermarket unit.

I have one I will sell for $250.00, I paid more for it but it is doing me no good. I bought it from G and R in Oklahoma City becasue I didn't see any on E-bay. After reading the forum more I understood that I could not do what I wanted without changing the HU also and I am not up for that.

Part number #15199884 and on the back it says it is out of a 2003 H2 SUV. Verify this part number will work for what you want to do first please. If you can get them cheaper then by all means go get them cheaper where you can.

Just curious, but what/where is "G and R"?

G and R is a big GM parts (recycler and used) in oklahoma City that has been there forerever. Check it out.

Wow...I must be tired

I've bought tons of stuff there, and have even recommended it to others on the board here.

Del City Pickup Parts is another good place...If not as nice as G & R.
