Ford keys/aal vs. Rough Country 2-3" kit

I've been researching how to cheaply and effectively lift my truck 3" or so, and will add a body lift on top of that, and I have narrowed it down to the following...

ford keys/aal - around $100, and I will probably need longer shocks

or

rough country 2-3" kit - $500, but it comes with new torsion bars, a-arms, brake lines, shocks, and a few other brackets

Now both methods will give me roughly the same amount of lift, but will the rough country kit be worth the extra cash? Will it be easier on the rest of the suspension/steering with the longer t-bars and the a-arms? Or should I just go with the Furd keys?

someone throw me a bone here, my truck is pissing me off sitting all low and whatnot

I have a rough country lift on my 1998 z71, and im really not that pleased with it, its real rough and doesnt ride good at all, but i did just put rancho shocks and it feels a whole lot better. Hope i could help on your decision

I had the 2-3" lift on my 98. All it does is let you crank your torsion bars more. The cv angles are what to worry about, and thats the same eigthor way you go unless you drop the diff.

BTW I have a set of aal's and ford keys I'm trying to get rid of.
