which wax do YOU use?

I have been a fan of Meguires (spelling) for some time. I bought a new bottle of their Gold signature series and it applied it to the black paint of the '03 Sierra. Tell you what....what a nice shine it does. Took awhile, but i do it all by hand and one applicator and only seamless cotton rags or diapers.

For my 96 Z28, i use a product called Zaino Brothers on the Bright Red. It does awesome, but is kinda pricey..comes in kits..but for the truck, i ll stick with the Meguires Gold.

I never tried a buffer, always felt that i do a better job by hand. no, not that kind of hand job...you goobers

I used McGiures cleaner wax on my truck when I first got it w 92k miles on it. I also used a claybar. Then about 2 months later I used the Mcguires 3 step system. I had all 3 bottles, 3 applicators and 3 buffing cloths. I just used all 3 in order on a section at a time. It works great. I have also used zaino and like it too. I am going to try Mcguires NXT next time which is a polymer (like zaino). They are supposed to last longer than traditional waxes from what I've read on the web. If you've never used a clay bar, give it a try, you'll like it. Just DON'T drop it on the ground or youre screwed.

I also like the detailer spray you can use between waxes.

I tried back-to-black for the bumpers and bug shield and it works outstanding!

Zaino however I switched to poorboys this spring. So far they have a good product also

Once a year i clay all my vehicles 5 of them and give them a hand polish job and use "Eagle One Wax as you dry" the rest of the year. Tar and sap wipe off as i wash them. Love it. More time to enjoy life.

Zaino for me. I wax it once in the spring and once in the fall. I use Zaino gloss enhancer spray after every wash. I have tried a lot of waxes and polishes, and I have yet to find anything that even comes close to Zaino.

I'm a Meguires Gold class guy too. But nothing beats Mothers Pre-cleaner and seal and glaze filler. I use this little 6inch buffer, its amazing. I did my whole truck, 3 steps, when I first bought it and it took about 2 hours. It makes short work outta waxing such a big vehicle. I used Zaino once before on a Trans Am I had. Nice shine, but I concluded that it was for newer vehicles that had a perfect paint job. Didn't seem to have the qualities to "fill in" an older paint job. Plus its a hella lotta work.

I've tried a little of everything over the years. Zaino worked ok for me. I used Meguiars before them and use their stuff now. For those who are using Gold Glass, might I suggest giving their NXT line a try. The NXT wax goes on a bit easier and doesn't have the residue that Gold Class does.

I'll also agree that using Eagle One Wax as you Dry or Quick Wax from Meguiar's while drying can eliminate water spotting.

Off To Appearance with this :)

Menzerna, nothing but Menzerna.

Look @ the pics in my sig---it tells it all. I get compliments everywhere I go.

I've used a ton of different products but Menzerna is by far the best. It's expensive but well worth it.

I think Zaino is the best, but I have been using the Meguiars NXT. It does 99.9% of the job Zaino does and is much cheaper and available anywhere. Mothers has a new line of polish and wax out that might be worth a try.
